This past Saturday, in addition to hosting the largest show in the Michigan Color Guard Circuit history, our band students were hard at work at State Solo and Ensemble at Rochester Stoney Creek High School (they had to qualify at the district level with a Superior Rating/Division I at each event).
We had 33 students participate at the State Solo and Ensemble this year! Of those 33, all but 2 events received a Superior Rating at the State Level (Division I)!!! The other 2 received an Excellent Rating (Division II), with both of those events missing a Division I by the narrowest of margins. The Huron Valley Percussion finished 2nd at the Winter Guard International Regional Championships on February 9th, as well as 1st place at the Novi Invitational on February 16 and 1st place at the Milford Invitational on March 2, 2013. |
Congratulations to our awesome DECA Chapter! This weekend we had 31 students qualify for the DECA International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California. In addition to those 31 students, 3 students became overall finalists in their event category. It was a fantastic weekend with all of the excitement and success by our students. |
