ACADEMICS
On February 1-3, six Lakeland High School students represented our capstone business class and its classroom firm, Dexacorp, at the Great Lakes Trade Show in Chicago.
We joined 740 students representing 59 firms from 38 schools, and it was a terrific event! Dexacorp participated in four competitions: Business Card, Impact Marketing, Basic Website, and Marketing Plan, and received a top 10 recognition for their Business Card (designer Caelan Pavlak). And...out of 59 booths, Dexacorp placed 5th in Best Booth design (designer Bailey Cislo)! Congratulations to the whole firm (the team behind the team), and to the representatives attending the show: Trent Anderson, Ashley Dehetre, Olivia Shay, Payton Sloat, Trent Wallace and Sammy Verbick |

Congratulations to the Lakeland Locker that earned the DECA Gold Level Re-Certification award.
To become re-certified, the Lakeland Locker students (Hunter Kowalski, Rachel Corn & Sarah Riley) completed a written project detailing how the Lakeland Locker adheres to select model business standards. Hunter Kowalski, Rachel Corn, and Sarah Riley will be representing Lakeland High School as they attend the exclusive School Based Enterprise Academy and competition, held at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California. |
