If you want to be blown away by the talent and creativity of our students, come check out the newly updated (and lighted) showcases around the building, highlighting creations from our visual and business arts classes. The students have spoken strong messages about current social and political issues, demonstrated modern day applications of problem solving and critical thought, creating showcases worth looking at!

Senior Jacob Ownby, who is Principal Trumpet in the Lakeland Wind Ensemble and Lakeland Jazz Band, as well as Drum Major of the Lakeland Marching Band, was offered a position for the summer with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. He was also offered a Lead spot in the Soprano (trumpet) section, which is a huge deal on top of being contracted by them.
The Cavaliers have approximately 150 members from all around the country, and the majority of them (probably 80 - 90% annually) are College Students. Jacob was also a member LAST SUMMER too! This is such a huge accomplishment and I cannot stress enough how amazing this opportunity is for him. They are consistently a finalist at the Drum Corps International Championships, having won the World Title many times!
