Congratulations to the BMT3/VEI Class firm, Dexacorp, for another terrific showing at the Great Lakes Trade Show in Chicago, IL on February 20, 2015. In addition to networking with 800 students from around the region, Dexacorp was one of 52 booths at the show and earned the following recognitions: 3rd place in the Basic Website Competition (congratulations to Webmaster Drake Brusseau) 4th place in the Best Booth Competition 5th place in the Marketing Plan Competition – written plan & oral presentation (congratulations to Courtney Territo and Layne Smalley) 7th place in the Print Ad Competition (congratulations to Designer Layne Smalley) Representing Dexacorp at the Great Lakes Trade Show were: Rachel Bayha, Samantha Burks, Jacob Childers, Megan DeHetre, Carly Shay, Layne Smalley, Courtney Territo, Natalie VarnHagen, Jon Weier and faciltator Mrs. Wendy Schmitt |
ATHLETICS
Congrats to the Lakeland Girls Bowling Team - KLAA North Division Champs! On February 20th, Coach Bob Brugger’s varsity basketball team won a thrilling opening-round KLAA tournament game over Brighton, 39-38, and in doing so, the team helped Coach Brugger earn his 200th career varsity win. On February 25th, the Lakeland Athletic Department celebrated 5 senior athletes who have committed to continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Josh Bailey will be playing football at Mt. St. Joseph University in Ohio. Evan Dennis will be playing soccer at Oakland University. Emily Wolfenbarger will by playing volleyball at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. Hannah Emerson will be playing soccer at Adrian College. David Hope will be playing football at Heidelberg University in Ohio. |
